Job description

Our Client:

Our client is one of the top Japanese companies, specialising in Building material trading & Real estate business. They are currently looking for a Sales Executive (Building Material) to join their team in Singapore.

The Responsibilities:

  • Export Sales and Trading of wood related products

  • Develop new market and manage existing customers

  • Develop new supplier and manage existing suppliers

  • Prepare Sales Contract and Purchase order

  • Ensure compliance to legal requirements for exports and internal policies, and export procedures

  • Monitor export sales transactions and review all customer responses for sales orders and payments

  • Present recommendations for problem solving and continuous improvement

  • Resolve customer issues for export processes and procedures, collaborate with customers to ensure smooth functioning of our export processes and requirements

  • Execute and grow business on strategy and plan set by Manager

  • Increase sales revenue and gain market share across market segments

  • Collaborate with sales teams to improve and leverage relationships/opportunities

  • Provide and update reports to Sales Management as required

The Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of Sales experience in commodity/ trading

  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin to liaise with both local and native Mandarin speaking customers

  • Willingness and flexibility to attend weekend and night events

  • Willing to travel overseas

  • Knowledge of International shipping

  • In-depth sales experience, preferably with medium and large clients

  • Well organized, industrious, creative and self-sufficient

  • Requires good teaming and negotiation skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of incoterms.
