Job description

A Sales Executive atEthiopian Airlines plays a vital role in driving revenue growth, building and nurturing client relationships, and supporting the airline’s commercial strategy, while aligning with Ethiopian Airlines' commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell Ethiopian Airlines’ products and services to both existing and prospective clients, including corporate customers, travel agencies, and cargo agents.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct sales meetings and product presentations, negotiate contracts, and close business deals.
  • Establish and sustain long-term relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and untapped market segments to expand the customer base.
  • Collect and analyze market intelligence, including competitor activity and customer trends, to inform sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as marketing, customer service, cargo, and operations to ensure seamless service delivery and support for commercial initiatives.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, monitor progress against objectives, and revise strategies as needed.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to contract execution and after-sales support.
  • Stay informed on industry developments, Ethiopian Airlines’ service offerings, and market dynamics to maintain competitive advantage.

Requirements:

  • A diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, account management, or business development, ideally within the airline, logistics, or service industries.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret market data for strategic decision-making.
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to connect with a diverse clientele.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and other sales software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally for client engagements.
