A leading engineering company is seeking a Sales Engineer to manage customer portfolios and ensure timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Responsibilities include networking, proposal submissions, and inventory management.
Job duties and responsibilities:
· Manage existing portfolio as well as new customers by networking, cold calling, or other means to generate interest from potential customers.
· Follow up on the request for quotation (RFQ) and submission of sales proposals to existing or potential customers.
· Conduct sales presentation and negotiation with customers.
· Gather input from customers for non-conformance, verify customers’ feedback and advise management on the necessary follow up actions.
· Work with internal staff to ensure that customer prerequisites and needs are fulfilled.
· Manage, monitor and update status of New Part Introduction (NPI) / First Article (FA) delivery schedule.
· Co-ordinate & expedite internal stakeholders on order release and production to meet customers’ requirement for NPI.
· Work closely with manufacturing, purchasing and warehouse/logistic to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods shipment.
· Close follow up on part status for reporting to customers.
· Drive to minimize excess inventory and obsolescence.
· Work with respective team for document submission.
· Update & maintain quoted price or contract price list, customer data & document management.
Requirements:
· Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Management.
· Minimum 4 years working experience in related field.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Power Point.
· Responsible, organized, able to multi-task with job accountability.
· Structured and detail-oriented in work.
