DESIGNATION : Sales Executive
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Sales Executive to join our team in the construction and civil engineering sector. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 4 years of experience in sales, preferably with a background in quantity surveying or engineering. You will be responsible for preparing and managing customer quotations, handling billing and follow-ups, maintaining sales records, and acting as a key point of contact for both customers and internal teams. This role requires strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely customer quotations based on project requirements and collaborate with technical teams to clarify details for complex quotes.
- Manage billing processes, generate invoices, coordinate with finance for payment collections, and resolve any billing discrepancies promptly.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, providing excellent after-sales support and handling escalated complaints professionally.
- Work closely with internal teams such as operations, engineering, procurement, and finance to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
- Maintain and regularly update sales records, customer information, and quotation databases to ensure data accuracy and easy retrieval.
- Compile and analyze sales data to monitor performance, forecast revenue, and prepare monthly or ad hoc sales reports for management.
- Develop and manage efficient documentation and filing systems for both physical and electronic records, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Stay informed about new products, industry trends, and competitor activities to identify sales opportunities and provide relevant updates to customers.
- Support sales activities including lead generation, client meetings, and participation in sales events, exhibitions, or customer visits.
- Coordinate and prepare for customer visits, site inspections, and technical meetings, ensuring smooth communication and proper documentation.
- Continuously seek process improvements to enhance quotation workflows, customer follow-ups, and overall sales efficiency.
- Assist with special projects, internal audits, and other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or department head.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or higher (preferably in Engineering, Marketing, Accounting, or a related field).
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in construction, civil engineering, or related industries.
- Background in Quantity Surveying is preferred.
- Excellent relationship-building, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales acumen; presentable and trustworthy demeanor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized with strong planning and time management abilities.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of handling pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Possession of a valid Class 2 or 3 driving license and/or own vehicle is advantageous to support mobility for customer visits and engagements.
