Job description

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Collaborate with the Business Unit to achieve sales growth targets and expand into new markets, ensuring a consistent market share year on year. Develop effective strategies and plans to increase spare parts market share and revenue.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively handle all opportunities from leads to ensure timely fulfillment and profitability of the business unit.
  • Provide accurate forecasts and sales pipeline plans to management for planning purposes.
  • Promote Service Sales (Aftermarket products) actively to distributors alongside spare parts sales.
  • Work with the sales team to develop strategies targeting new opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of a wide range of diesel industrial engines (small to large capacity) to support distributors with technical advice on spare parts.
  • Optimize inventory levels (own stock and consignment stock at customer sites) to minimize stock-up costs and ensure satisfactory parts availability.
  • Keep accurate records of projects, pricing, sales, and activity reports.
  • Create and deliver proposal presentations to sales representatives, customers, and prospects.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects across functions.
  • Perform other parts sales and aftermarket duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in spare parts or the automotive industry.
  • Willingness to travel within the Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia regions (10-15%).
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for spare parts and power generation products.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Independent, results-oriented, with strong business and commercial acumen.
  • Experience with engine spare parts is advantageous.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is advantageous.

WORKING HOURS / LOCATION

  • 5-day workweek
  • 8:30 am to 5:15 pm
  • Located in Jurong East
