About the role

Our client is seeking a talented Sales Engineer (Modernisation). In this full-time role, you will be responsible for driving sales and providing technical expertise to our clients. As a key member of the sales team, you will play a crucial part in expanding the business and delivering innovative modernisation solutions.

What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for generating modernisation sales of elevators and escalators.

  • Foster relationships with customers, contractors, and architects, and manage tender strategies

  • Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services

  • Perform preliminary design work with the architect, general contractors, and assist in developing budgets and schedules.

  • Analyze the market, industry trends, and competitors, and work closely with stakeholders to maximize sales and profitability.

  • To negotiate with customers on price and terms and conditions.

  • Manage customer feedback, enquiries and issues.

  • To achieve the company’s budgets and objectives.

  • Any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Company.

What we're looking for

  • Proven track record of success in a sales engineering or technical sales role, or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

  • Strong understanding of the sales process and ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders

  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with clients

  • Passion for staying abreast of industry trends and continuously expanding your knowledge.
