Position : Sales Engineer

Reporting To : Sales Manager

Summary of Role:

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and market penetration within the Semiconductor (Semicon), Defense, Marine, and General Industries sectors in Singapore and Batam. This position demands a passionate and driven individual with a strong technical background, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of success in achieving sales targets. Travel around the region, including to Batam is expected.

Task & Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets and profitability objectives:

o Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key accounts, acting as a trusted advisor to support and grow existing business.

  • Proactively identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within the designated Semicon, Defense, Marine, and General Industries.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle effectively, from initial lead generation and qualification through to technical proposal, commercial negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Customer Management:

o Provide prompt and effective technical support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving to address customer inquiries and resolve complex issues.

o Skillfully negotiate pricing and commercial terms to achieve mutually beneficial agreements that align with company objectives.

o Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and foster long-term, strategic partnerships.

  • Technical Expertise & Product Application:
    • Act as a technical expert, guiding customers on optimal sealing solutions for their specific applications and challenges.
    • Effectively articulate the value proposition of Trelleborg's products and solutions, demonstrating how they meet customer requirements and provide a competitive advantage.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide timely market feedback, customer trends and information for marketing
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with internal teams, including marketing, engineering, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless project delivery and an outstanding customer experience.

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field)

· Minimum 2 years of proven sales experience.
