Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct needs assessments to understand customer requirements and challenges.
  • Provide technical consultation to customers, offering solutions that align with their operational goals.

2. Sales Support:

  • Scout, develop and obtain leads with new customers to develop sales in your assigned territory.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Develop detailed quotes and proposals, addressing customer needs and specifying technical requirements.

3. Service Support:

  • Liaise with customers, end-users and purchasers to introduce the company’s service capabilities.
  • Drive the sales of services to existing and new customers with equipment sold by the company.
  • Coordinate with the engineering and service teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Act as a point of contact for post-sales support, troubleshooting and sales of service.

4. Market and Product Knowledge:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge and understand advancements in equipment and service offerings.
  • Share insights, feedback and customer requirements with the product development and marketing teams to drive innovation.
  • Participate in all company-participated trade shows and seminars in Singapore and abroad.

5. Training and Support:

  • Educate customers on equipment features, benefits, and maintenance requirements.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams to ensure proper usage and understanding of products.
  • Assist management with any other ad-hoc tasks and duties as and where required.

Qualification:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred or related technical field, Minimum Diploma in related technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales engineering role, preferably within the equipment sales and service industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of vacuum pump technology or other technical equipment. Proficiency in technical sales and solution design.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing customer needs.
  • Travel: Required to support regional customers in Southeast Asia (30-40%).
