Qualifications

Job description

Our client is looking for a Sales Engineer to deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with prospects, understanding their needs, presenting suitable vehicle options, negotiating sales agreements, and ensuring a seamless and satisfying purchase experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and engage with walk-in and online customers in a professional, friendly manner.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable vehicles (new or used) based on preferences and budget.
  • Present and explain vehicle features, pricing, promotions, and financing options.
  • Arrange and conduct test drives.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals to meet or exceed monthly targets.
  • Handle all documentation required for vehicle purchases (e.g. sales agreements, insurance, loan applications).
  • Follow up with prospective clients and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers.
  • Stay updated with product knowledge, competitor offerings, and market trends.
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g. finance, after-sales service) to ensure smooth delivery and post-sale satisfaction.
  • Participate in marketing events, roadshows, and showroom activities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales (preferably in automotive or high-involvement consumer goods).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Goal-oriented and highly motivated to achieve targets.
  • Able to understand customer needs and build trust.
  • Basic knowledge of financing, insurance, and registration processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, email, and basic computer tools.
  • Good command of English (and other local languages if applicable).
  • Valid driving license is often required.
  • Willing to work weekends and public holidays (as showroom hours may require).

Additional Notes:

  • Basic Salary: $2,000
  • Special Allowance (6 months): $400
  • Commission/Incentives: Approx. $3,000 / unit
