Sales Director (MICE)
Online Sales & Customer Experience
- The role will be responsible for spearheading online and MICE sales strategies, driving business development, and accelerating revenue growth through direct sales, strategic partnerships, and market expansion.
- The incumbent will lead sales forecasting and budgeting efforts, strengthen client relationships, provide team leadership, and streamline contracting processes to elevate the client's market presence and competitiveness.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute annual online and MICE sales strategies, ensuring revenue targets are met.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities while maintaining a steady flow of sales leads.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, associations, MICE organizers, and corporate clients.
- Oversee the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation and negotiation to contracting and event execution.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and competitor strategies.
- Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and sales trips, both locally and internationally.
- Manage revenue budgeting, sales forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Ensure seamless coordination with internal departments to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Lead product and services development and implementation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the online sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and driving professional growth.
- Drive commercial projects by identifying revenue opportunities, building partnerships, and ensuring successful execution aligned with business goals.
Ideally, we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing with at least 7 years of senior-level sales experience, specializing in consumer-facing sectors such as exhibitions, attractions, and entertainment / MICE related
- Possess strong financial acumen (P&L, Asset Management) and proven sales growth.
- Experience in leadership, change management, and business expansion.
- Expert in negotiation, communication, and networking.
- Strategic, creative, and sales-driven with strong business acumen.
- Strong leadership, team management, and collaboration abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy (Excel & digital processes).
