Job description

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to spearhead the growth and expansion of our client’s Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) business. The ideal candidate will have a strong network within the electronics industry, a deep understanding of PCBA and EMS processes, and a proven track record of securing and managing key customer accounts. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and business development strategies to drive revenue and market share growth in the EMS sector.
  • Manage the entire business development lifecycle, from lead generation and prospecting to proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances to support long-term business objectives.
  • Canvass and acquire new EMS customers, particularly in sectors such as consumer electronics, industrial, automotive, and medical devices.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches tailored to customer needs and competitive positioning.
  • Build, maintain, and expand strong client relationships, ensuring consistent communication, service excellence, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, procurement) to ensure customer requirements are met effectively.
  • Explore cross-selling opportunities and joint marketing initiatives to expand business reach and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ of experience in sales or business development within the EMS / contract manufacturing industry.
  • Well-established network and relationships within the electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, NPI (New Product Introduction), and supply chain considerations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, generate leads, and convert opportunities into long-term customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic, analytical, and commercially savvy with a strong drive for results.
  • Leadership experience and a collaborative mindset to work effectively across teams.
  • Willingness to travel regionally or globally as required.
