Sales Consultant - Merchant Acquisition
Job description
Assist in developing and implementing strategies to achieve pre-agreed volume and revenue for the merchant acquiring business.
Responsibilities:
- Meeting new customers and handling the complete sales cycle from cold call to closing deals.
- Grow business through new acquisitions, channel partners, and value-adding service providers.
- Monitor merchant transactions/volume and formulate appropriate merchant retention strategies to minimize attrition.
- Update the management regularly on the clients' requirements and sales/closure status.
- Ensure a healthy lead pipeline of prospective clients to meet the sales target.
- Efficiently & effectively map new markets and opportunities through strategic analysis of our main payment business lines and competitor intelligence.
- Assist in merchant-related follow-up activities to ensure a smooth onboarding process in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Foster and develop long-term partnerships and relationships.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of working sales experience, preferably in the payments industry.
- Demonstrable understanding of online payment with a strong personal network and contacts.
- Dynamic individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly motivated and results-driven with a hunter mentality.
- Proven ability to establish long-lasting and engaging relationships with merchants and partners.
- English proficiency with the ability to speak and write Japanese.
- Willing to travel as and when needed.
