A leading chemical industry company in Singapore is seeking a motivated individual for technical sales. Responsibilities include managing business activities, driving sales and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in Science or related fields and 2-3 years of relevant experience in the chemical sector. Proficiency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of other languages is preferred.
Responsibilities:
· Manage existing and new business activities, including pricing, contract negotiations, tender submissions, technical support and issue resolution.
· Drive sales, profitability and growth while aligning with the company working capital goals in collaboration with Finance Department.
· Responsible for supporting and helping customers to be successful in achieving their operational, quality and productivity goals. Optimizes the company’s internal processes to provide reliable and differentiating services to customers.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and business partners at all levels. Accountable for active management of relationship with Key Accounts for long-term profitable and sustainable growth.
· Execute commercial activities and new assignments as assigned by the Manager from time-to-time.
· Ensure compliance within scope of work and timely reporting of business performance and updates.
· Coordinate with Logistics to align customers forecasts with operations.
· Collect and share market intelligence, including customer portfolio development, competitor analysis and new business opportunities.
· Prepare presentations, proposals and sales plans as needed.
Requirements:

· Diploma in Science, Chemistry, Chemical, Environmental or Engineering.
· 2-3 years of technical sales experience in chemical products/solutions across sectors such as:
- water treatment & power utilities companies
- semiconductor, wafer fab manufacturing plants,
- chemicals and petrochemicals manufacturing plants,
- food and pharmaceuticals manufacturing plants, and
- marine sectors
· Requires physical fitness to make regular customer visits and access plant sites, which may involve walking or climbing stairs of moderate distance or height.
· Understanding of technical terms and concepts - especially related to chemical, chemistry, water treatment and fluid transfer.
· Proficiency in English (Writing, reading and speaking) is a mandatory.
· Proficiency in Chinese, Malay and/or other languages will be highly preferred for communication with customers from various backgrounds.
· A valid driving license and personal vehicle are essential for the role.
