Overall Role Purpose
The Sales Analyst will be responsible to extract, manage and analyze large amounts of data from various internal, cross-functional databases & external sources to support reporting, forecasting and planning, as well as to in projects related product, services and surcharges.
Country Performance Analysis
- Analyze sales performance by industry, product, and lane to identify trends, strengths and areas for improvement.
- Monitor external business environment for potential opportunities or risks that could impact sales performance.
- Identify revenue leakage and propose corrective actions to improve business retention and growth.
- Benchmark performance against competitors and market trends.
Planning & Forecasting
- Conduct the planning and forecasting by providing accurate and timely data-driven insights.
- Develop predictive models and scenario analyses to support sales strategy and revenue planning.
- Work closely with stakeholders to align forecasts with business objectives. Consolidate input for bottom up projection.
Commercial Reporting
- Develop and maintain detailed commercial reports at the product and lane level.
- Provide actionable insights based on sales data to optimize pricing, product positioning and customer targeting.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all sales reports and dashboards.
Product Management
- Align with the company’s business objectives to drive revenue growth by identifying and quantifying business opportunities related to the product and service portfolios, based on market research and an understanding of both internal and external customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, sales, marketing, customer service, finance and IT, to ensure seamless product integration and delivery.
- Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics, collect customer feedback, and gain insights into their evolving needs to continuously improve product offerings.
Ad-Hoc Projects
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving sales performance and operational efficiency.
- Support senior management in strategic initiatives by providing insights and data analysis.
- Assist in system improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in roles related to analytics, consulting, business planning, product/project management.
- Strong command and proven record on managing Business Intelligence platform (e.g. Tableau, Microsoft Power BI) as well as technical expertise regarding data - database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Proficient in advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Access, PowerBI).
- Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Projection and forecasting skills.
- Strong communicator with creative mindset.
- Project management experience.
- Additional certifications in the field of “Data Analytics” will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Oracle and Python, as well experience with machine learning will be a plus.
- Minimum Degree in Business Management / Economics / Statistics / Mathematics.
