Job Summary:
DELTEQ, a 30+ year establishment in the ICT business, seeks an experienced and competent Account Manager to drive sales and manage customer accounts. The successful candidate will focus on increasing revenue from existing clients and identifying new customers who can benefit from our products and services. Reporting to the Business Head, you will be responsible for meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly quotas for revenue and gross profit. We are looking for a sales-oriented professional who values responsibility, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete sales process with existing and prospective accounts, including identifying potential opportunities and collaborating with stakeholders to close deals.
- Plan and execute sales hunting activities with minimal supervision.
- Develop sales account plans, including forecasting and revenue reporting, and review them regularly.
- Ensure scheduled payments from clients.
- Maintain a sales pipeline at least three times the quarterly sales target.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and gross profit quotas.
- Plan and attend regular update meetings with clients.
- Handle ad-hoc queries and inquiries related to the account portfolio.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure prompt delivery of goods and services and high customer satisfaction.
- Develop new clients and re-engage previous clients.
- Coordinate with distributors and principal vendors.
- Prepare tender submissions.
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Other diplomas or degrees with sales training or courses are also acceptable.
- 1-3 years of sales experience in infrastructure and solution selling.
- Familiarity with the sales bidding process in government or commercial sectors is advantageous.
- Proven track record as an account manager within an IT System Integrator company.
- Result-oriented with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong ability to identify and develop sales opportunities and achieve sales quotas.
