Job summary

A leading logistics company in Singapore is seeking a Workplace Safety and Health Officer to ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct training. Candidates should have an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and be proactive team players. This role involves regular site inspections, safety briefings, and promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in related field.
• Experience in shipping or logistics will be an advantage.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Group HSE team on safety programs.

• Conduct regular WSH inspection and follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance.

• Attend site safety meeting (where applicable) and troubleshoot site HSE issues.

• Coordinate and conduct safety briefing / induction / training (includes contractor) and assist in fire evacuation procedures drill. (2-3 times per year)

• Join every Friday Group HSE Mass Toolbox Meeting.

• Conduct risk analysis, investigate incidents and recommend corrective and prevention measures.

• Administrate monthly HSE report & statistics.

• Promote safety and health advice at workplace and maintain the HSE management system documentation.

• Assist and provides safety training and professional development for fleets of drivers.

• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that endangers the live of employees.

• Constant lookout for violations or good working behavior (at site and yard).

• Assist the application to Port Entry / Working applications.

• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements

• Minimum Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B).

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in related field.

• Experience in shipping or logistics will be an advantage.

• Good team player.

• Able to handle work pressure.

• Pro-active and good working attitude.

• Attained Supervise Workplace Safety & Health in Process Plant Certificate.

• Attained Managing Work-At-Height Certificate.
