Job summary

GREENSAFE INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. is seeking a Safety Officer for an LTA project. The role supports the Safety Manager to ensure WSH compliance, environmental safeguards, and project safety requirements on site.

The candidate will perform safety, health, and environmental activities, coordinate with project teams and authorities, and prepare daily safety reports while addressing any safety concerns. A MOM WSHO is mandatory with relevant risk management experience.

Qualifications

• Registered WSHO with MOM – mandatory.
• Experience in Risk Management plans (e.g., bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health Act and related regulations.

Safety Officer – Job Description (LTA Project)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Manager in ensuring compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), environmental, and project safety requirements.
• Carry out safety, health, and environmental activities to ensure all site works follow approved procedures and LTA requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities on safety matters.
• Prepare and submit daily safety reports and highlight any safety concerns.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections, record observations, and follow up on corrective actions with the project team and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare reports, and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure all workers wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow site safety rules.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, LTA requirements, and the project's Safety Management System.
• Identify safety training and certification requirements and ensure workers meet the required standards.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and other safety documents.
• Support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns to promote a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) – Mandatory.
• Experience in preparing and implementing Risk Management plans (e.g., bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health Act, subsidiary regulations, and safety requirements.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the (Water Reclamation Plants) industry.
• Preferably at least 2 years of experience on WSHO water treatment plants.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
