🦺 Safety Officer – Construction Industry
📌 Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure Compliance:
Monitor adherence to occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines.
Ensure compliance with local safety laws, regulations, and company policies. - Risk Assessment:
Identify potential hazards at construction sites.
Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits. - Accident Prevention:
Develop and implement safety plans and procedures.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; recommend corrective actions. - Training & Awareness:
Organize safety training for workers (e.g., toolbox talks, safety drills).
Ensure workers use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly. - Reporting:
Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and safety violations.
Report safety performance and issues to site management and regulatory authorities. - Emergency Preparedness:
Ensure emergency response plans are in place and well understood.
Coordinate drills and evaluate emergency response effectiveness. - Tool and Equipment Checks:
Ensure machinery and tools meet safety standards.
Monitor proper usage and maintenance of equipment.
🎓 Job Requirements:
🧑🎓 Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Certification in Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is highly preferred.
💼 Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in construction safety roles.
- Knowledge of local construction safety codes and practices.

- Excellent communication and training skills.
