Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an OHS Manager to oversee site safety responsibilities, develop and review OHS policies, and conduct risk assessments. The ideal candidate must ensure compliance with safety legislation and train staff accordingly. Strong experience in occupational health and safety management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the site safety matters and ensure safety acts.
• Review the development of OHS policies and programs.
• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
• Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
• Initiate and organize OHS training of staffs and workers/subcon.
• Inspect premises and work to identify issues or non-conformity.
• Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances.
• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous.
• Attend all safety meetings as required.
• Record and investigate incidents to determine causes.
• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information.

• Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
• Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
• Attend all safety meetings as and when required
• Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
