Job description

Key Responsibilities of a Safety Officer:
  1. Risk Assessment & Hazard IdentificationInspect work areas to identify potential hazards.
    Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
    Recommend preventive measures.
  2. Compliance with RegulationsEnsure adherence to occupational health and safety (OHS) laws.
    Stay updated on local, national, and international safety standards.
    Coordinate with regulatory bodies.
  3. Safety Training & AwarenessConduct training programs for employees on workplace safety.
    Develop safety manuals and procedures.
    Promote a safety culture in the workplace.
  4. Incident Investigation & ReportingInvestigate workplace accidents and near-misses.
    Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
    Maintain records of incidents and inspections.
  5. Emergency Preparedness & ResponseDevelop emergency response plans (ERP).
    Organize fire drills and first aid training.
    Ensure availability of PPE and emergency equipment.
