A leading company in drilling services is seeking a qualified safety manager to oversee and ensure compliance with safety regulations at a construction site. This role involves conducting safety inspections, managing permits for high-risk activities, and providing extensive training to workers to ensure a safe working environment. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and possess relevant safety certifications.
Job Description & Requirements:
Ø Conducting regular safety inspections at site identifying and addressing hazards promptly. This includes inspecting working areas, equipment and PPE.
Ø Collaborating with other site personnel, including site management and potential external authority agencies regarding all incidents and accidents and preparing detailed reports and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrences.
Ø Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
Ø Providing regular safety briefings and training to workers, keeping them informed of potential hazards and safety procedures.
Ø Manage and oversee permit-to-work system ensuring that all high-risk activities are properly authorized and conducted safely.
Ø Maintaining close communication and collaboration with subcontractors to ensure that their work is carried out safely and in accordance with the overall safety plan.
Ø Monitoring environmental conditions within the assigned area such as air quality, temperature and humidity to ensure workers safety and well-being.
Ø Prior experience with Land Transport Authority (LTA) projects.
Requirements:
Ø Thorough knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.
Ø Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ø Experience in Tunnel construction or in a similar field.
Ø First aid and emergency response training.
Ø Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in WSH role.
Ø Possess WSQ Certificate in WSH qualification and other related safety certifications
