Job summary

New Castle Engineering Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support civil engineering and underground cable installation projects. You will conduct daily site safety inspections, lead toolbox meetings, monitor high-risk activities, maintain records, and liaise with project teams to ensure WSH compliance.

Qualifications

• Relevant WSH/Safety certification.
• Preferably 2–3 years of construction safety experience.
• Experience in civil engineering, roadworks, utilities or underground cable works is an advantage.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Able to work independently at various project sites.
• Willing to work night shifts or weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts or conditions.
• Ensure compliance with Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures and site safety requirements.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
• Monitor excavation, lifting, roadworks, cable installation and other high-risk activities.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports and incident documentation.
• Assist in accident and near-miss investigations.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Site Supervisors and workers on safety matters.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore WSH regulations and client requirements.
