A leading engineering and trading company in Singapore is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee compliance with safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, organizing safety inspections, and assisting with safety training programs. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage safety practices effectively across various projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in WSH, preferably in Construction Sector.
  • Certified Occupational First Aider.
  • Experience with LTA projects required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and perform daily safety inspections.
  • Assist in ISO audit document preparation.
  • Investigate and report WSH incidents and near misses.

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

  • Ensure compliance of operations with Workplace Safety and Health/Environmental Control regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure Risk Assessment are carried out for all work activities and the control measures are implemented.
  • Ensure supervisors and workers are following safe work procedures compliance.
  • Coordination with relevant site in-charge on improving the worksite safety and cleanliness.
  • Compiles all relevant reports and records and carry out daily safety inspection.
  • Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes.
  • Assist the Safety Officer/Manager on the ISO audit document preparation.
  • Supervise all workers in providing safety measures and procedures in accordance with MOM Regulations.
  • Identify WSH hazards, recommend and implement control measures
  • Investigate and report WSH all incidents and near misses.
  • To assist with safety program implementation at workplace.
  • To ensure all HSE related safety equipment and PPE are in order and properly maintained.
  • Carry out other Safety related function/duties and processes as directed by Safety Officer/Manager or Project Manager in charge at site.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by superior from time to time

Requirements

  • Minimum WSQ advance certificate in WSH or Safety Coordinator training
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in WSH capacity, preferably in Construction Sector
  • LTA project expirence needed.
  • Able to work at JRL project from 8am to 7pm monday to friday and saturday halh day
  • Certified Occupational First Aider
  • Managing Work at height course
  • Confined space safety assessor course
  • Responsible and with a good attitude
  • A team player and able to work independently
  • Self-motivated, able to multitask
  • Detailed orientated
  • Good knowledge of local industry
  • Required to work on weekends and extended hours during project peak period
