Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist WSH Officer on safety and health matters on site
  • Execute appropriate safety measurements in accordance with the WSH Act.
  • Assist WSH Officer in accident / incident reporting and investigations as well as hold toolbox meeting and all WSH matters execution.
  • Coordinate and maintain records of safety orientation and daily toolbox meetings.
  • Ensure safe work practices are adhered to by all parties in the daily site activities.
  • Attend to all feedbacks on safety irregularities and inform the WSH Officer accordingly.
  • Perform daily inspection and enforce all safety legislation and in-house safety rules and regulations.
  • Conduct Site Safety inspection to ensure all work activities/equipment comply to WSH Act and are safe to be carried out/ used.
  • Conduct safety site walks to ensure site safety measures implemented are adequate.
  • To ensure safety hazards identified are addressed and rectified timely.
  • Conduct safety audit on all required safety documentation to ensure contractor comply to WSH Act and it's requirements.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management and the designated manager.

Requirements:

  • At least a Professional certificate / Nitec or equivalent.
  • Must possess at least an Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health by BCA.
  • Must possess professional knowledge in Law and regulations (WSH Act and Environment).
  • At least 2 years of working experience in construction industry.
  • A good team player with good communication skills and multi-tasking.
  • Physically Fit & Healthy.
  • Hardworking and driven.
  • Able to write and speak in English.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office
