Job description

A well-established hotel property is seeking a professional and experienced Safety and Security Manager to lead all safety, fire, and security-related operations on-site. This role is crucial to ensuring a secure environment for guests, staff, and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of safety and security operations within the hotel.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety and emergency response protocols.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and drills to ensure compliance with local safety regulations and hotel standards.

  • Manage and train the security team to maintain a high level of vigilance and professionalism.

  • Collaborate with local authorities and emergency services when required.

  • Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards.

  • Serve as the appointed Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and be responsible for all fire safety matters within the property.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Security Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Hotel Management, or a related field

  • Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) – mandatory requirement.

  • Strong knowledge of local safety laws, fire safety protocols, and emergency preparedness

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and crisis management skills

  • Relevant professional certification (eg. WSQ certifications, First Aid, CPR, AED) are advantageous.

  • Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies
