Job summary

Longbridge Singapore is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to own the operations and build-out of the data layer for our multi-region SaaS clusters in Singapore. You will manage PostgreSQL/MySQL databases across US/SG/JP, ensure high availability, backups, and incident response, and work with Terraform and other tooling to automate tenant onboarding and DR drills.

The role emphasizes performance tuning, capacity planning, and collaboration with SRE and engineering; Mandarin is a plus,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production DBA experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
• Experience with HA and backup/recovery solutions and failover drills.
• Strong performance tuning and query optimization skills.
• Experience with AWS RDS/Aurora or equivalent cloud databases.
• Proficient in English; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate databases of multi-region SaaS clusters including deployment, upgrades, backups, monitoring and incidents.
• Design and deliver multi-tenant SaaS data solutions with isolation and onboarding.
• Own multi-AZ high availability and DR drills with defined RPO/RTO targets.
• Run capacity planning and performance tuning, including slow-query governance and indexing.
• Review schema designs and gate production changes with engineering; participate in on-call with SRE.
