Job summary

SEAOWL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical Technician to install, commission support, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment for offshore/marine projects.

You will ensure rotating equipment is installed, tested, and maintained per project specs, quality standards, and HSE requirements to support safe operations. The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and the ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and docs.

Qualifications

• NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience as Mechanical Technician in EPC/offshore/marine/oil & gas.
• Marine environment experience is an advantage; exposure to internal combustion engines.
• Familiarity with rotating equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
• Physically fit; able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and outdoors.
• Strong safety mindset; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, align, and assemble mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, valves, piping systems, and other rotating machinery.
• Support pre-commissioning activities such as flushing, leak testing, functional testing, and system checks.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure reliability.
• Perform corrective maintenance and repair works to minimize downtime and restore functionality.
• Assist QA/QC inspectors during inspections, testing, and acceptance activities.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, project specs, and quality standards.
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with HSE requirements at all times.
