About Our Client

The client's main product is a mobile app and underlying field service software that simplifies dispatching field workers and scheduling jobs, featuring mapping, route planning, and efficient dispatch organization.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled RoR Technical Team Lead to join our client's dynamic team. You will lead a distributed team of three engineers in Germany, India, and Ukraine, responsible for architecture, development, code review, and planning, working closely with the team and management. Strong leadership, Ruby on Rails expertise, and understanding of front-end technologies like Angular and React Native are essential.

Responsibilities

1. Lead a team of 3 engineers across different time zones (Germany, India, Ukraine).
2. Architect, design, and implement scalable solutions using Ruby on Rails.
3. Collaborate with front-end engineers working with Angular and React Native.
4. Review and ensure high-quality code, providing feedback and guidance.
5. Plan and manage sprints, tasks, and deliverables to meet deadlines.
6. Communicate effectively with the Head of Engineering and provide technical insights.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails (RoR) with at least 5 years of experience.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular and React Native.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing remote, cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to architect and design backend systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across different time zones.
• Availability to overlap with CST working hours for effective collaboration.

Interview Process

1. RoR Technical Assessment with Adaface.
2. Meeting with Workana's team.
3. One interview with the Head of Engineering for management skills evaluation and with the engineering team for technical assessment.

Location & Compensation

Remote (preferably with CST overlap). Rate: $50-$55 USD/hour.
