- Clean and service bedrooms, bathrooms, and associated areas to the standard of hygiene and cleanliness required by the hotel.
- Re-sheet all rooms daily with clean linen, ensuring creases are removed; dust all furniture; fully clean bathrooms; replenish all guest supplies and stationery; vacuum all rooms thoroughly.
- Record all serviced rooms on duty phone, report and record any rooms that cannot be serviced.
- Ensure that all VIP gifts are replenished daily.
- Water and replenish guest room flowers and plants as required (if any).
- Dispose of rubbish and dirty linen correctly.
- Use and store materials properly. Maintain equipment in a serviceable condition and report faults immediately.
- Build respectful rapport with guests, handle their requirements and inquiries, and resolve complaints promptly with follow-up, referring to others when necessary.
- Follow key signing procedures and take responsibility for assigned keys.
- Hand in lost property to the Assistant Housekeeper immediately and follow hotel policies.
- Assist in stocktaking and special cleaning projects as required.
- Handle hotel linen according to Housekeeping standards.
- Manage guest property efficiently and correctly.
- Report damage to bedding, curtains, blinds, and soft furnishings to the Assistant Housekeeper.
- Report shortages of linen, supplies, or equipment.
- Complete any additional tasks or projects assigned by your department head or Hotel Management.
