Rolling Stock Technician - West

Our client is a global solution provider in the railway transport industry.

Details as below:

• 6 months contract (Renewable subject to project planning)
• Working hours: 5.5 Days - Monday to Friday @ 9am – 6pm, Sat 9am – 1pm / 2pm – 12am (Night Shift)
• Need to perform weekends shift as and when required.
• Working Location: Bukit Panjang

Key Responsibilities:

• The Rolling Stock Technician is responsible to support and implement the onboard inspection and verification/validation works to the NCX1 and NCX2 APM vehicle (support onsite testing when required). In the context of the C801B BPLRT AR project, the Rolling Stock Technician is defined as vehicle-related installation, modification, inspection, maintenance, verification, and test assistance activities.
• To perform rectification work that arises during the verification/validation process.
• Able to carry out various rolling stock inspection activities and provide constructive feedback for work improvement and daily reporting.
• To regularly provide site verification/validation updates and reports to the Rolling Stock Engineer, ensuring that the field data and configuration are well organized.
• Implements and enforces HSE requirements on site with the support of HSE team representatives.
• Shall be able to identify deviations from expected results and communicate deviations to the Rolling Stock Engineer. (Instruction/training will be provided)
• As a baseline, the Rolling Stock Technician will need to operate various basic verification tools, calipers, scopes, meters, wrenches, wire crimpers, etc.
• Ensuring that safe installation/modification is carried out as per the product requirements within the provided timeline.

Qualifications & Functional Knowledge:

• Typically, a minimum of 2 – 3 years relevant experience, preferably with an automotive/Rolling Stock system background.
• Preferred experiences in mechanical assembly, relevant maintenance experiences in automotive/LRT/MRT, certification in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
• Able to work on shift when required.
• Able to produce good quality workmanship.
