Job summary

RN CARE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced GNC engineer to design, develop, and modify guidance, navigation, and flight control systems for company aircraft systems.

You will analyze flight data to verify performance and troubleshoot issues during drone flights. The role requires 4+ years in system modelling and control, with MATLAB/Simulink, and proficiency in C/C++ along with Linux, ROS, and Git.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Mechatronics or related.
• 4+ years in system modelling and control, analysis, and simulation for aircraft applications, with MATLAB/Simulink experience.
• Proficient in C/C++ and tools such as Linux, ROS, Git.
• Knowledge of inertial sensors and navigation sensors.
• Knowledge of Kalman filtering, DSP and sensor data fusion.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and modify GNC algorithms for aircraft systems.
• Analyze flight data to verify performance and troubleshoot drone flights.
• Select, test, evaluate and integrate new sensors or navigation systems.
• Document specifications, design, test procedures and results of GNC software.
• Develop and modify 6-DOF and hardware-in-the-loop simulations.

• In charge of designing, developing and modifying guidance, navigation, and flight control systems and algorithms for company aircraft systems.
• Responsible in analyzing flight data to verify flight performance and to help troubleshoot issues that are found during flights of company drone systems.
• In charge of selecting, testing, evaluating and integrating new sensors or navigation systems onto the company drone systems.
• In charge of generating documentation on the specifications, design, test procedures and test results of the GNC systems and algorithms that were developed.
• Responsible in developing and modifying 6-DOF and hardware-in-the-loop simulation environments.
• In charge of supporting ground and flight test activities.
• Responsible in participating in design and code reviews.
• Working with cross-functional departments.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Mechatronics Engineering or relevant.
• Minimum 4 years of working experience in system modelling and control, analysis, and simulation in aircraft applications, and developing model-based design and analyses using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Proficient in C/C++ programming language and software and development tools such as Linux, ROS and Git.
• Knowledge in inertial and other types of sensors for navigation.
• Knowledge in Kalman filtering, digital signal processing and sensor data fusion.
