Job summary

3S Robotics Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Robotics Engineer to help design and implement learning-enabled control for palletizing systems.

You will build the brain of our next-generation robots, focusing on reinforcement learning and real-world physics to operate in dynamic environments. You will write production-grade C++ and Python within a ROS/ROS 2 framework and use Gazebo or Isaac Sim to validate your algorithms.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechatronics, CS, or Robotics Engineering.
• 1–3 years of professional robotics or related software experience.
• Strong Python programming skills for ML/scripting.
• Familiarity with ROS/ROS 2 and DL frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow).
• Experience with physics simulators (Gazebo/Isaac Sim) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop RL models enabling robot adaptation to varied payloads and environments.
• Write production-grade C++ and Python code within ROS/ROS2.
• Leverage simulation tools (Gazebo, Isaac Sim) to stress-test algorithms.
• Own software lifecycle from PoC to on-site deployment.

Job description

As our Robotics Engineer, you won't just be "coding robots"-you'll be building the brain of our next-generation palletizing systems. We are looking for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of RL and real-world physics.

Develop and iterate on RL models that allow robots to adapt to unpredictable environments and varied payloads.

Write production-grade C++ and Python code within a ROS/ROS 2 ecosystem.

Utilize advanced simulation environments (e.g., Isaac Sim, Gazebo) to stress-test your algorithms.

Own the software lifecycle from initial proof-of-concept to on-site deployment.

Requirements & Skills

• Education: B.S. or M.S. in Mechatronics, Computer Science, or Robotics Engineering.
• Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in robotics or a related software field.
• Software Proficiency: Strong foundation in Python (for ML/scripting).
• Frameworks: Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS 2 and PyTorch/TensorFlow is highly preferred.
• Simulation: Familiarity with physics simulation software (Gazebo, Isaac Sim) is preferred.
• Problem Solving: A proven ability to optimize motion planning or manipulation sequences.
