Job summary

Sharpa, a Singapore-based AI robotics company, is seeking a PhD researcher in computer vision to advance perception for autonomous robots. You will work with robotics, control, embodied AI and hardware teams to translate research ideas into deployable capabilities.

We expect a strong publication record in top venues, expertise in 3D vision or multimodal learning, and proficiency in Python with PyTorch, TensorFlow or JAX. You’ll help shape research roadmaps and contribute to patents.

Qualifications

• PhD required in relevant field and strong publication record.
• Strong foundations in computer vision and deep learning.
• Proficiency in Python and DL frameworks.
• Ability to formulate research problems and design experiments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in computer vision for robotic systems.
• Develop robust visual perception capabilities for real-world robots.
• Collaborate with robotics, control, embodied AI and hardware teams to deploy capabilities.
• Design experiments, analyze model performance, and improve robustness.
• Stay updated with CV/AI advances and contribute to roadmaps.
