SCOR Services Asia Pacific Pte ltd is seeking a Risk Officer to support the Head of APAC Risk Management and Senior Risk Officers across the APAC region. You will help identify, assess, monitor, report, and elevate risks while coordinating data, analyses and risk reporting.
The role emphasizes embedding risk governance, regulatory readiness, and timely delivery of risk-related work across multiple entities with a strong emphasis on collaboration and communication.
The Risk Officer (“RO”) supports the Head of APAC Risk Management to whom you will report (i.e. your immediate manager), and the Senior Risk Officers (“SRO”) by supporting day-to-day risk management activities, ad hoc projects, and administrative tasks for the APAC Risk Management team (“the Team”).
You will support the Team’s activities across the APAC region, covering operational, business, financial, reputational, and emerging risks, and help address / resolve issues efficiently and effectively. As a key member of the Team, you will be responsible to proactively identify, assess, monitor, report, and/or elevate risks in the course of your work to ensure that risk matters are addressed proactively and communicated clearly to the Head of APAC Risk Management and/or SRO.
Essential support includes analytical, operational, project management and/or coordination support such as:
Help to establish / implement / embed / maintain / enhance the risk management frameworks and systems to ensure they remain effective and appropriately tailored to each entity’s risk profile, regulatory environment and business strategy, as well as in alignment with Group Risk Management requirements/expectations.
Coordinate data collection, analysis, and validation to support risk identification, assessment / analysis, monitoring and/or reporting across APAC entities.
Support in risk assessments / analyses (e.g. ORSA / ICAAP) such as project managing to ensure timelines are met, organizing meetings, close follow-ups with various stakeholders on outstanding actions, performing data quality checks, updating models with latest data correctly, draft responses to queries from stakeholders including the regulators and Group Risk Management.
Assist with preparing meeting / presentation / research materials for the Team such as draft / update / enhance risk reports / presentations (e.g. Risk Dashboards, ORSA reports, etc.) with accurate analysis and key messages.
Support the Team on Internal Control System and Group Incident / Event Database matters including support to process / action owners in APAC entities that do not have local risk officers.
Help to ensure timely delivery of work / projects by the Team by tracking actions and following up closely with relevant stakeholders on the deliverables.
Assist with regulatory submissions, regulatory queries, preparations for regulatory inspections and independent reviews / audits under the guidance of the Head of APAC Risk Management and/or SRO.
Support risk management activities / initiatives and other ad-hoc work (e.g. thematic risk reviews, regulatory change / gap assessments) as required by the Head of APAC Risk Management.
Assist to strengthen risk governance and embed a strong risk culture across APAC region.
Contribute to identifying and implementing continual improvements to work processes, systems/models, documentation quality, automation and governance.
At least 5 years of relevant robust working experience in a role related to actuarial or risk management, with proven expertise gained through practical hands-on work.

Good blend of strong actuarial skills (or equivalent technical expertise), analytical acumen, risk management and effective communication skills.

Self-starter, adaptable and team player, with an eye for details, consistently and proactively contributes as a valuable team member.
Proficient in both verbal and written communication, with demonstrated ability to explain complex issues clearly and concisely.
Degree in Actuarial, Mathematics or equivalent, with strong actuarial skills or equivalent technical expertise, and analytical acumen.
