Job description

Position Overview

As a startup company based in Singapore, FINIAC is dedicated to developing novel portable and wearable biomedical devices. Now we are seeking a talented RF Engineer to join our innovative team developing cutting-edge microwave sensors for biomedical devices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of RF/microwave engineering and healthcare technology, contributing to solutions that can improve patient outcomes and advance medical diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and develop microwave sensors and RF components for biomedical applications

· Utilize electromagnetic simulation software to model and optimize antenna designs and microwave components

· Conduct experimental testing and validation to verify design specifications and performance metrics

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF solutions into biomedical device systems

· Analyze measurement data and provide technical recommendations for design improvements

· Document design processes, test procedures, and results for regulatory compliance

· Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in RF/microwave engineering and biomedical applications

Required Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on RF/Microwave Engineering, Electromagnetics, or related field

· Software Experience: Demonstrated proficiency with commercial electromagnetic simulation software such as:

Ø ANSYS HFSS (preferred experience)

Ø COMSOL Multiphysics

Ø CST Studio Suite

· Design Experience: Hands-on experience designing antennas, microwave components, and RF circuits

· Testing & Validation: Proven experience in experimental testing, measurement techniques, and design verification using:

Ø Vector Network Analyzers (VNA)

Ø S-parameter characterization

Ø Spectrum analyzers

Ø Waveguide and/or anechoic chamber measurements

Preferred Qualifications

· System Design Experience: Background in RF/microwave system architecture and integration

· Experience with biomedical device development or medical technology applications

· Experience with PCB design and layout for high-frequency applications

· Programming skills in MATLAB, Python, or similar tools for data analysis

· Understanding of signal processing techniques for sensor applications

· Familiarity with near-field sensing, radar principles, or biomedical imaging

· Knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical devices (FDA, CE marking)
