A leading company in the retail sector is looking for a Retail Supervisor to manage the sales team and ensure excellent customer service. The role involves overseeing inventory, guiding staff, and maintaining store presentation. Candidates should have supervisory experience and a passion for customer service, with competencies in leadership and communication.
The Retail Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the smooth execution of daily retail operations. This includes delivering outstanding customer service, managing stock and inventory, maintaining store presentation, and supporting promotional activities. The role also involves close collaboration with internal departments and the effective supervision of the sales team to ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead the sales team to ensure a high standard of customer service is consistently delivered
Respond to customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
Train, coach, and mentor staff on product knowledge, service standards, and sales techniques
Ensure a positive, welcoming, and engaging shopping environment for all customers
Oversee inventory levels, stock replenishment, and merchandise receiving processes
Conduct regular stock counts, monitor product conditions, and implement loss prevention measures
Coordinate with Store Manager/Assistant Manager to highlight fast- and slow-moving products and assist in sales reporting
Support the execution of in-store marketing campaigns, promotions, and thematic events
Assist in setting up store displays, visual merchandising, and maintaining updated promotional signage
Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team performance in alignment with store objectives
Uphold company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensure staff compliance with safety guidelines
Maintain store cleanliness, organisation, and visual appeal at all times
Ensure functionality and upkeep of store equipment and safety practices are maintained
Key Requirements
GCE ‘O’/‘N’ Levels, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in any discipline
Candidates with substantial supervisory experience in a retail environment will be considered regardless of academic qualification
Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a retail setting
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Passionate about delivering excellent customer service
Able to multitask and work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
