Job description

The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of retail stores, ensuring efficient and effective management of all aspects of the business. This role focuses on optimizing store performance, enhancing customer experience, and driving sales growth while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. We’re looking for a highly organized and hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations across our Grand Cru and Vivino wine shops, as well as our new Shell wine retail partnership. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth store operations, inventory and logistics coordination, team management, and execution of retail activations and promotions.

Job Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

· Manage day-to-day operations at Vivino and Grand Cru outlets

· Ensure smooth store processes including POS, customer service, and stock handling

· Monitor and maintain retail SOPs, store cleanliness, and staff performance

· Optimise costs

Inventory Management:

· Oversee inventory levels across all retail and Shell outlets

· Coordinate stock deliveries, replenishment cycles, and logistics planning

· Work closely with suppliers and the warehouse to manage fulfilment accuracy and timeliness

Shell Partnership Execution:

· Liaise with Shell station managers and staff to ensure proper display, stock levels, and compliance

· Conduct regular audits and support staff training for Shell x Vivino rollout

· Track performance metrics across Shell locations and flag operational issues

Team Leadership:

· Supervise and support frontline retail staff

· Coordinate scheduling, onboarding, and day-to-day task delegation

· Foster a high-performance culture that aligns with brand values

Process & Efficiency:

· Identify operational gaps and implement solutions to increase productivity

· Support cross-functional needs including event logistics and in-store activations

· Generate regular reports on operational performance and KPIs

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (preferred).

  • Min. 3 years of experience in F&B or Retail operations.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Independent, proactive with analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
