Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Team Lead, Retail Operations to join our retail team. This role is designed for individuals aspiring to take on future leadership positions within the retail sector. The successful candidate will undergo comprehensive training and gain hands-on experience in customer service, store operations, sales performance, promotional activities, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
Deliver exceptional service by assisting customers with product inquiries, purchases, and issue resolution.
Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable support.
Learn to handle escalated customer complaints in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
Sales & Store Performance
Support daily sales initiatives and contribute to achieving store targets.
Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and performance gaps.
Assist in implementing strategies to increase sales, including upselling and cross-selling.
Store Operations
Assist with daily store opening and closing procedures.
Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with brand standards.
Follow company procedures related to safety, security, and operational policies.
Support scheduling and shift planning under manager supervision.
Promotions & Merchandising
Assist in executing promotional campaigns and visual merchandising plans.
Set up promotional displays, signage, and marketing materials.
Monitor promotional effectiveness and provide feedback to store leadership.
Inventory Management
Monitor stock levels and assist with timely replenishment of shelves.
Support the receiving, checking, and organizing of inventory deliveries.
Participate in stocktaking and inventory audits.
Identify and report slow-moving or damaged items.
Training & Development
Participate actively in training modules covering retail operations, sales techniques, and inventory control.
Shadow experienced team members and store leadership to learn best practices.
Complete performance evaluations and provide progress reports as required.
Requirements:
Minimum GCE ‘O’ level /NITEC at least 2 years of relevant retail sales experience
Strong interest in developing a career in retail management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Customer-focused mindset with a proactive attitude.
Willingness to work on Saturdays.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
