Job description

As a Retail Associate, you are responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the retail shop, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of the store to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Lead and motivate the retail team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Monitor and manage staff performance, including scheduling, training, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Ensure the store is well-stocked and visually appealing by maintaining proper inventory and merchandising standards.
  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and presentable at all times, including maintaining retail housekeeping standards.
  • Monitor and reduce inventory shrinkage by properly handling merchandise and conducting regular stock checks.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor sales trends and report on store performance to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and securing the store.
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management to support the smooth running of the store.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or team leader role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
