A leading retail business in pet products is seeking a Retail Assistant to ensure excellent customer service and operational support. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and promote products while maintaining a safe environment for pets. The role includes a sign-on bonus and targeted incentives, working in a dynamic environment focused on pet care.
Retail Assistant roles & responsibilities include:
Support the day-to-day business operations of the retail store
Greeting customers the moment they enter the store and making them feel welcome
Perform cashiering function / Cashiering counter closing
Be approachable and be a good listener in discovering customers’ needs
Recommend a product and solution in meeting customers’ needs & objectives
Generate interest through the sharing of product knowledge
Keeping abreast of product knowledge through continuous learning
Overcoming customers’ objections
Upselling of pet accessories, toys etc.
Promote and market PLC membership sign-ups & renewals
Provide tender loving care to small animals in the store
Perform general housekeeping to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for staff, customers and pets"
Requirements:
5 days work week, including weekends and public holidays
11am - 9.30pm with two breaks (all other outlets)
OR 10am to 10pm with 2 breaks (NEX, VivoCity, WaterwayPoint, StarVista)
Sign-on Bonus: You will be entitled to a sign-on bonus of $200.00 on completion of every two (2) months of continuous service during the first six (6) months of service as per the Company’s Sign-On bonus policy. The payment will be credited on the following month’s (third (3rd) , fifth (5th) and seventh (7th) month) payroll. You must still be in service at the time of payment to be eligible for the payout.
