Retail Assistant cum Cat Groomer

As the face of our brand, you will play a crucial role in building meaningful relationships with pet parents of Cats Garage. We’re looking for cheerful, fun and trustworthy candidates who enjoy pets and can work independently to be part of our Team. You will be performing Retail Assistance job function including packing of online orders as well as grooming of Cats.

Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Warm greeting and making customers feel welcome.

• Answering phone calls and replying to email and chat enquiries and orders.

• Recommending/up-selling pet products in a professional manner.

Visual Merchandising

• Assist in receiving, stocking up and replenishing merchandise display.

• Ensure that merchandise is displayed in an orderly manner.

• Repacking of merchandise to ensure display looks clean and proper.

Online Orders

• Updating customers on their online orders and shipment.

• Packing orders according to packing lists.

• Order fulfilment and printing/attaching shipping labels on goods.

• Loading & unloading goods in and out of the store.

General Duties

• Support the day-to-day business operations of the retail store.

• Perform general housekeeping to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for staff, customers, and pets.

• Adhere to all retail SOP, company policies, processes, and procedures.

• Cleaning & sanitisation of space including washroom.

• Updating drivers' delivery tasks & expense records.

• Other ad-hoc duties assigned.

Cat Grooming

• Ensure all grooming appointments are properly scheduled.

• Ensure workplace safety, hygiene level, and cleanliness of the grooming area.

• Ensure safety of pets throughout the grooming process.

• Recommending/up-selling pet care products in a professional manner.

• Cat grooming based on Cats Garage SOP, best practices, and customers’ needs, including paw pad trimming, genital area shaving, teeth brushing, fur trimming, and other tasks.

Requirements

• Possess a positive attitude, be helpful, friendly, courteous, responsive, timely, and accountable.

• Able to carry/lift goods (1 to 15kg) for a while to put on trolley.

• Able to speak & read English.

• Basic computer skills to check emails, order fulfilment, and stock updates.

• Not afraid of handling cats.

• No experience in grooming necessary as training will be provided.
