Job Summary:
The Retail Area Manager oversees the performance and operations of multiple retail stores within a designated region. Responsible for driving sales, ensuring operational excellence, managing teams, and upholding company standards across all locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management
Supervise, coach, and motivate Store Managers to achieve sales and performance goals.
Conduct regular store visits to monitor performance and provide support.
Lead recruitment, training, and development of store staff. - Sales & Business Development
Analyze sales reports and KPIs to identify growth opportunities and underperforming areas.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to increase sales and profitability.
Set and monitor sales targets for each store. - Operational Excellence
Ensure all stores comply with company policies, SOPs, and visual merchandising standards.
Monitor inventory levels, stock management, and loss prevention strategies.
Oversee store openings, refurbishments, or closures within the area. - Customer Experience
Uphold a consistent and exceptional customer experience across all stores.
Handle escalated customer issues when necessary. - Budget & Reporting
Manage area budgets, expenses, and P&L performance.
Prepare regular reports for senior management on area performance, challenges, and action plans.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Area Manager, District Manager, or similar role in retail.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid understanding of retail operations and customer service standards.
- Proficient in MS Office and POS systems.
- Ability to travel frequently within the assigned area.
