Job summary

SINGAPORE GENERAL HOSPITAL PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our critical care team. You will provide advanced cardiorespiratory support in ICUs and general wards, initiate and titrate ventilatory support, manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, and contribute to patient education.

Candidates should hold a Degree in Respiratory Therapy and bring strong interpersonal and communication skills; 2–3 years ICU experience is advantageous for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced cardiorespiratory support in ICU and general wards.
• Initiate and titrate assisted ventilation and manage a range of ventilatory modes and ventilators.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and airway procedures such as fibreoptic bronchoscopy.
• Provide patient education and counselling in management of respiratory diseases.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.

Job description

You will be an integral member of a team of healthcare professionals providing both basic and advanced cardiorespiratory support to patients. This involves administering care to patients in the intensive care units and general wards. The scope of work includes initiating and titrating assisted ventilation, maintaining a range of ventilatory modes and ventilators, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and providing support in airway procedures such as fibreoptic bronchoscopy. You will also provide patient education and counselling in the management of a variety of respiratory diseases as well as basic maintenance and trouble shooting of respiratory equipments.

Requirements

• Degree in Respiratory Therapy

• Candidates with a minimum 2-3 years relevant working experience in ICU will be an added advantage
