A leading company in drilling seeks a Resident Technical Officer (M&E) to supervise and ensure proper execution of mechanical and electrical installations. Candidates must hold a diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and have at least 3 years of site supervision experience. The role involves coordinating on-site activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing contractors effectively.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and registered with IES as a Resident Technical Officer (M&E).
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on site supervision experience as RTO.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise M&E installations and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Coordinate on-site activities for safety and project adherence.
  • Validate mechanical system testing and report to the Consultant.

Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and ensure the proper execution of M&E installations in compliance with approved design drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate on-site activities to maintain construction safety and adherence to project requirements.
  • Verify that all installation methods and materials align with consultant and client approvals.
  • Liaise with contractors to resolve site installation issues and ensure smooth workflow coordination.
  • Witness and validate mechanical system testing, and submit detailed reports to the Consultant on test results and work progress.
  • Perform additional project-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and registered with IES as a Resident Technical Officer (M&E).
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on site supervision experience as RTO.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and Project software for reporting and progress updates.
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with contractors and stakeholders.
  • HDB, CAG & DSTA experience will be an advantage.
