Job Description & Requirements
- Perform all roles and responsibilities required of site supervisors under BCA
- Supervise timely execution of the works and maintain quality control and ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications, drawings, allocated timeframe, all other contract documents and site instructions
- Check all drawings and specifications to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with approved plans for discrepancies and report to OIC
- check on quality of works, materials and samples delivered to site, take measures to rectify any non-compliance and report to OIC on any materials not conforming to specifications
- prepare defect lists, monitor progress of rectification works and ensure all defects are satisfactorily rectified
- Supervise works to comply with statutory requirements and specifications
- Ensure that structural elements or critical works are being carried out in accordance with approved plans
- Attend site, progress, variation, QAQC and coordination meetings and to keep proper minutes of these meetings
- Help resolve main contractors' queries and coordinate the works with other contractors
- Inspect and assist with handing/taking over of completed works by other contracts
- Ensure that proper and updated records of all works are kept
- Carry out coordination of all building and M&E Services
- Working with the safety team, ensure that safety on site maintains at a maximum level
- Any other adhoc duties
Criteria
- The RTO-M&E shall possess a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a Polytechnic or equivalent;
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience as a RTO, of which at least two (2) years shall be in supervision of works similar in nature to T5 Early Civil Works involving airfield systems, utilities, fuel hydrant, building services, and security systems;
- Shift work, including night shift
- Have a valid 2025 RTO (M&E) Certification accredited by IES
