Job summary

GREENMARK CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Civil Engineering professional to oversee airfield-related construction, rehabilitation and upgrading works.

You will conduct site inspections, ensure compliance with drawings, specs and method statements, and coordinate with contractors, consultants, engineers and airport stakeholders.

Night shifts may be required; strong independent work and timely reporting expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant site experience.
• Airfield/airport construction experience is required.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Monitor renovation, rehabilitation and upgrading works on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and method statements.
• Oversee pavement works: excavation, sub-base, concrete/asphalt, joints and reinstatement.
• Monitor site testing and inspections to meet quality requirements.
• Identify defects and ensure timely rectification.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, engineers and airport stakeholders.
• Maintain FOD prevention, housekeeping and work-zone control in airside area.
• Maintain daily site records, reports and progress updates.
• Ensure construction activities do not affect airport/aircraft operations.
• Assist Resident Engineer/PM with technical and coordination tasks.

• Monitor site testing and inspection activities and ensure quality requirements are met.
• Identify defective or non-compliant works and follow up on rectification.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, engineers and relevant airport stakeholders.
• Ensure proper FOD prevention, housekeeping and work-zone control within the airside area.
• Maintain daily site records, inspection reports and progress updates.
• Ensure construction activities do not adversely affect airport and aircraft operations.
• Assist the Resident Engineer / Project Manager with technical and site coordination matters.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Register with IES.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant site experience preferred.
• Airfield / airport construction experience is required.
• Experience in rehabilitation / upgrading works is an advantage.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with contractors and project teams.
• Willing to work night shifts / extended hours when required for airfield works.
