Job summary

A construction and engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Site Supervisor with a Diploma in Civil Engineering. The role requires at least 8 years of experience as a Resident Technical Officer and extensive experience in structural steelworks and excavation works. Candidates should be able to supervise projects ensuring compliance with specifications and quality control. The project duration is approximately 8 months with flexible working hours, including night shifts during specific phases.

Job description

Job scope include but not limited to the following:

• To perform all roles and responsibilities required of site supervisors under the Building Control Act.
• To supervise the timely execution of the works and maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications, drawings, allocated timeframe, all other contract documents, and site instructions.
• To check all drawings and specifications to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans for discrepancies and report to the Superintending Officer/Consultant/Qualified Person as stated below:
• Check shop drawings submitted by contractor.
• Check as-built drawings submitted by contractor.
• To check on quality of materials and samples delivered to site and report to Superintending Officer/ Consultant/Qualified Person on any materials that are not conforming to the specifications.
• To check mock-ups done on site, where necessary.

Qualification & Project requirements:

• Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or approved equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution
• At least 8 years’ experience as a Resident Technical Officer
• Extensive experience in structural steelworks and excavation works.
• Registered with IES as Resident Technical Officer
• Work location: Near Novena MRT Station
• Project Type : High and Low Covered Linkway
• Contract duration: Approx. 8 months
• Work hours per week: approximately 17-25 hours per week.
• Will have night works for some days during erection of high linkway roof beams.
• Able to start work around Aug 2025
