Roles and Responsibilities:
- Representing Clients on Site: Act as the client's representative on the construction site.
- Reading and Interpreting Drawings: Review project drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Ensuring Compliance: Ensure that construction projects adhere to contracts,regulations, and approved plans.
- Inspecting Materials and Workmanship: Conduct regular inspections to check the quality of materials and workmanship.
- Monitoring Progress: Keep track of the project's progress and ensure it stays on schedule.
- Preparing Progress Reports: Compile and submit detailed progress reports to the client.
- Liaising with Contractors: Coordinate with contractors and other stakeholders to address any issues or discrepancies.
- Supervising Inspection Works: Oversee inspection activities and ensure they are carried out correctly.
- Advising on Remedial Measures: Recommend corrective actions for any defects or issues identified during inspections.
- Ensuring Safety: Ensure that all safety protocols are followed on the construction site.
- Reviewing Contractor's Method Statements: Assist in reviewing contractor's method statements and working procedures to ensure they are followed on site.
- Monitoring Defects and Rectification: Monitor the progress of rectification works and ensure all defects are satisfactorily rectified.
- Ensuring Statutory Compliance: Ensure that all construction works comply with statutory requirements.
- Attending Toolbox Meetings: Attend toolbox meetings every day with the project team.
- public holidays. Some works are carried out on night shift. The RTO works closely with the project manager on site.
- Weekly Progress Meetings: Attend weekly meetings to update the progress.
- On-site Supervision: Full-time supervision, coordination, quality control, and reporting (i.e., progress reporting, QA/QC reporting) for all works.
- Toolbox Meetings: The RTO must attend toolbox meetings every day on-site.
Location of site: KTPH
5.5 days / 44 hour work week
Salary: $4,000 to $6,000 (included all allowance)
Job Requirements
- Possess at least 5 years of experience in local projects involving supervision of architectural works for commercial / institutional / retail projects as well as A&A/ refurbishment projects
- Diploma in relevant field in building industry
- RTO with Structure RTO cert preferred
- Certificate in BCSS (Building Construction Safety Supervision) or other similar construction-safety certification
- Able to read and interpret architectural drawings and details of construction project
