Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and patient care within assigned wards.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to House Officers, Medical Officers, and Trainees.
• Handle both cold and urgent referrals, including emergency cases during night duty.
• Liaise with consultants on complex admissions and referrals.
• Participate in night ward rounds and take on-call duties.
• Prepare Confidential Mortality Reports and represent the ward in medico-legal matters where required.
• Attend and contribute to departmental teaching sessions, ward rounds, and clinical conferences.
• In surgical specialties: perform elective/emergency procedures and guide junior doctors in operative techniques.
• Uphold high standards of care and demonstrate continuous learning within your specialty.
