Job summary

A multinational consultancy in the water industry seeks a talented individual to lead site supervision for mechanical construction works. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, at least 10 years of relevant construction experience, and a proven record of effective supervision in water treatment facilities. This position offers a 5-year renewable contract at Nanyang Drive, Singapore.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of construction experience supervising mechanical works in water/wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Registered with IES as a Resident Engineer (M&E).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site supervision team on all Mechanical and Building Construction works.
  • Assist the Chief Resident Engineer and Construction Manager with Mechanical site inspections.
  • Address and respond to all Contractor RFIs and technical submittals.
  • Attend site/project meetings and lead technical and progress discussions.

Job description

Our client is an MNC Consultancy in the water and wastewater industry. With more than 100 years of heritage, they help companies worldwide efficiently and effectively collect, store, move, and treat water and wastewater, plan and manage watersheds, and harness the energy embedded in water treatment and movement.

Contract period: 5 years (renewable/extendable)
Work location: Nanyang Drive
Work hours: 5.5 days per week

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the site supervision team on all Mechanical and Building Construction works.
  • Assist the Chief Resident Engineer and Construction Manager with Mechanical site inspections, contract matters, defect identification, and supervision of rectification works.
  • Address and respond to all Contractor RFIs and technical submittals. Other responsibilities include assessing method statements, instrumentation readings, coordinating with other discipline engineers, and liaising with the design team/QP from HQ.
  • Attend site/project meetings, discussions with clients and contractors, and lead technical and progress discussions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably recognized by the PE Board, Singapore.
  • Minimum 10 years of construction experience supervising mechanical works in water/wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Registered with IES as a Resident Engineer (M&E).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
